PussyCat Gives Birth

[The Adventures of Panther and Cimorene, Prologue]

Once upon a time, there lived a cat. Her name was PussyCat. She had a husband, and his name was Tiger. They were owned barn cats.

One day, their owners left them; they left PussyCat and Tiger plenty enough water to drink and food to eat.

As the first week went on, PussyCat got fatter and fatter. Soon, she was sure she was pregnant, so she started eating and drinking more.

At the end of the month, their owners returned, just in time to give them more food and water.

They took PussyCat to the doctor (to find out why she was so fat) and were surprised to find out that PussyCat was pregnant.

For one month with her owners, she was pregnant, but no more. At the end of two months (for her first month was without her owners), she gave birth to seven kittens. And she called the two youngest Panther and Cimorene.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Part 2

Soon Goldy was going up a staircase. At the top, there was two rooms. She went in the first room. There were two beds. It was then that she realized how tired she was, so she laid down in the first bed—too hard. So she went to the next bed—too soft.

So she got up and went to the next room. There was another bed in there, so she lay down on it. Ah, just right! She soon fell asleep.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Part 1

(I know this is how it happened, because Goldilocks told me the whole story.)

Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Goldilocks. Her hair was the color of gold, and her eyes were blue.

Her father had a big ranch. His corn field was in the shape of box and was ten miles both ways. He also had a wheat field and a bean field. The wheat field was the same as the corn field, but the bean field was in a box shape, too, but only had five miles both ways, because they didn’t eat as many beans.

And there were fifty sheep, two horses, four chickens, two pigs, and four cows.

After buying all of this, there was hardly any money to spare on the wood for the house, and the tools to build the house. For they needed money left over for the plow and other tools for taking care of the crop, not to mention the tools to harvest the crop.

So they lived n a four-room cottage. The four rooms are two bedrooms, one bathroom, and one kitchen.

Then there was the barn, in which Goldy (as everybody called her) often played in.
